How do I get from Cusco to Pisac?

This is the way FROM Cusco TO Pisac (you start in Cusco). Take a colectivo from the stop on Calle Puputi in Cusco (near the Garcilaso monument, about 20 min walk from Plaza de Armas). It costs about 4-6 soles and takes 45-60 minutes. It leaves when full, roughly 6:00 to 19:00. The way back, FROM Pisac TO Cusco, starts somewhere else: the vans for Cusco leave from the bridge in Pisac (Puente Pisac), not from Calle Puputi.

Taxi from Pisac town up to the Pisac ruins (upper entrance): what is the fare?

This is the fare for the short ride from Pisac town up to the ruins only: about 30 soles one way, around 15 minutes to the upper entrance. It is NOT a fare for Cusco, the Cusco airport, Urubamba or any other trip. Better to take a taxi from an official stand rather than a moto-taxi.

Plant medicine and ceremonies: what should I know?

Safety information only, we do not recommend or rank facilitators. Tell any facilitator about ALL medication, especially SSRIs/antidepressants and antibiotics, which can be dangerous with ayahuasca. Do not go alone, ask about medical screening and a trained helper, and keep your valuables safe. Reported deaths in Peru were in the Amazon, but the US embassy warns against ayahuasca and kambo and reports assaults and thefts. Traditional ayahuasca use is recognised as cultural heritage, but ceremonies are not regulated.

Colectivo from Cusco to Pisac: where does it leave from, how does it work and what time is the last one?

This is the way FROM Cusco TO Pisac (you start in Cusco). It is a shared van, not a bus: no timetable, it leaves when it is full (usually within minutes). In Cusco it leaves from Calle Puputi near the Garcilaso monument (search "Puputi" in Google Maps: maps.google.com/…). Fare about S/4-6 cash, 45-60 minutes. Runs from early morning (about 5-6:00) until roughly 19:00; travelers say vans often keep going until about 21:00 when there are passengers, but the last one is not fixed (to confirm). Do not count on it after dark: go in the early afternoon, or use a taxi/inDrive at night. The way back, FROM Pisac TO Cusco, is a different stop: the bridge in Pisac (Puente Pisac), see the entry about going from Pisac to Cusco.

Taxi or colectivo from Pisac to Cusco: where do I catch it and what is the last one?

This is the way FROM Pisac TO Cusco (you start in Pisac). The vans for Cusco stop by the bridge (Puente Pisac) on the main road, near the end of Av. Amazonas: cross the bridge and wait on the opposite side of the road at the small bus shelter facing the large mural billboard, and flag the van down as it passes (you may have to stand). Map: maps.google.com/… . No schedule, it goes when full, about S/5 cash, around 45 minutes. Be back in Pisac before dark; travelers report the last vans around 19:00, sometimes until about 21:00 (not fixed, to confirm). After that, a taxi or inDrive to Cusco, often shared with other travelers. We have no reliable price for a private taxi or inDrive from Pisac to Cusco: ask the driver before you get in, or check the price in the inDrive app. Do not use the price of any other trip. Shared taxi or inDrive between Cusco, Pisac and the Cusco airport: can I share a ride?

We have no reliable price for a private taxi or inDrive between these places (Pisac, Cusco, the Cusco airport, Urubamba): ask the driver before you get in, or check the price in the inDrive app. The only taxi fare we list is the short ride up to the Pisac ruins, in its own entry; it does not apply to any other trip.
